dw-tours-colour All our tours  begin in New River at the Road Runner Restaurant & Saloon.  Just a short drive from most Scottsdale/Phoenix hotels (20-45 minutes) this is not your Western Wannabe kind of place.  Cowboys and locals offer you a real window into our culture.  The burgers and chops are great and you’ll want to spend some time there before or after our tour.  All our tours have amazing LOCAL guides that will fill you with knowledge on the history, culture, animal, and plant life that inhabit our amazing desert!

HALF DAY TOURS

Our Most Popular AM or PM Half Day Tour Experience the Sonoran Desert up close where you may see javalinas, desert mule deer, coyotes, rattlesnakes and others.  We’ll take you to some of the following attractions:

  • Turquoise mine
  • Indian Ruin
  • Ghost Town
  • River Crossing

Duration 3.5-4 hours. Minimum 2 over 12yo, age 12 and older $145pp, under 12 is $87pp.
*June 1 – September 30:  Leaves 7:30AM and returns 11:00PM or leaves 2:00PM and returns 5:30PM
**October 1 - May 31:  Leaves 8:30AM and returns 12:00PM or leaves 2:00PM and returns 5:30PM

SUNSET/NIGHT TOURS

We are proud to offer the industry’s ONLY self – drive night tours!  Why sit in the back seat when you can be driving your vehicle equipped with brilliant LED lights?  The desert takes on a whole different perspective and critters may come out for your viewing pleasure using our night vision devices.

Duration 2.5 hours. Minimum 2 over 12yo, age 12 and older $145pp, under 12 is $90pp.
* Launch time fluctuates between 5:00PM and 7:00PM depending on the time of year so please call for more information!
